Over the weekend, The Toast of the Towers celebrated the 40th anniversary of tenants moving into Marina City. Events included guided tours of residential units and a panel discussion featuring architects Geoffrey Goldberg, son of Marina City architect Bertrand Goldberg, Dr. Katerina Ruedi Ray, who lived at Marina City from 1996 to 1999, and Michael Anania, an architecture writer.

The 1965 Warren Beatty film Mickey One was shown, including scenes shot at Marina City, as well as This is Marina City, a promotional film produced in 1965 by Portland Cement Association.
